I wanted a contrast between my previous photographs of bones and fish skin. I decided to photograph sweet foods like melt in the middle chocolate cake but still capturing that disgusting element with the chocolate oozing out from the inside.
Below is the different compositions that I photographed. I kept the food on a glass plate with a white background as the subject matter was dark. The compositions I photographed were:
1. Melt in the middle chocolate cake with custard.
2. Blackcurrant sponge with and without custard.
3. Apple Pie with custard.
4. Jelly with and without ice cream.
5. Steak pie.
